IOWA TESTING - SEPTEMBER 20-23 & 26-30

We begin our Standardized Testing Tuesday, September 20 and will continue to test through Friday, September 30. It is extremely important for students to be ON TIME and PRESENT during testing.

Be sure to eat a nice big breakfast and bring a healthy snack!

Welcome Back!

HOMEWORK

General Homework Requirements:

Agendas and Reading Logs are to be signed nightly by a parent or guardian.

Spelling words are given weekly. The test is administered at the end of the week, generally on Friday.

Math homework is given Monday-Thursday and occasionally on Fridays.

Social Studies and Science assignments are generally given prior to a test or for review. Each student is required to take their notebook and book home for the two nights prior to a test. It is recommended that they make flash cards and reread over their notes several times.

Language Arts work is mostly completed in class. However, writing assignments and grammar may be sent home as homework.

Each student should read for a minimum of 30 minutes every night and document it in their reading log. Reading logs are due on the last day we meet each month.
